What the job is
This job is for a Surface Maintenance Mechanic Inspector in Gatesville, Texas. You must be an active member of the Texas Army National Guard. The job is to check that heavy equipment works safely.

What you will do
You will inspect trucks, tanks, cranes, bulldozers and other big machines. You will use special tools to test engines, brakes, hydraulics and electronics. You will write reports about needed repairs. You will help decide if a repair is worth the cost. You will check work after repairs are done.

What you need
You must be a member of the Texas Army National Guard. You need a valid driver’s license if you drive a vehicle. You need to know how to use test equipment and read technical drawings. You must be able to follow safety rules.

What you will get
You will work Tuesday to Friday from 6:30 to 5:00. You will get a salary between 32.03 and 37.36. You will get a job in the Army National Guard and have the same benefits as other Guard members.
