Vehicle Mechanic

What the job is This is a job for a vehicle mechanic with the Army National Guard in North Riverside, Illinois. You will look after and fix many types of military and commercial vehicles.

What you will do You will find out why heavy trucks and combat vehicles are not working. You will fix engines, brakes, and electrical parts. You will use tools and computers to check for problems. You will take parts off, clean them, and put new ones on. Sometimes you will work at different locations away from the main shop.

What you need You must be a member of the Illinois National Guard or join before starting. You must wear a military uniform. You need to pass a background check. If you are male, you must be registered for Selective Service. You cannot have certain criminal records for domestic violence.
