What the job is
This is a National Guard job. The mechanic works on vehicles and equipment. It is a Title 32 excepted service position in the Illinois National Guard.
What you will do
Perform maintenance, repair, troubleshoot, inspect and overhaul vehicles and equipment. Work on heavy-duty mobile equipment, combat, tactical and automotive vehicles. Repair engines, transmissions, drive lines and hydraulic systems. Use tools and test equipment. Follow work orders and manuals. Work in remote locations.
What you need
Must be a member of the Illinois National Guard. Must have the military grade listed. Must wear a uniform. Must be registered for Selective Service if male born after 1959. Must pass a background check. Must not have a domestic violence conviction. Must be able to work irregular hours.
What you will get
Salary between $25.13 and $39.35 per hour. Benefits are not listed. Must use direct deposit. Full-time position.
