What the job is
This job is for a Senior Social Worker in Colorado Springs, Colorado. You will help veterans who have serious mental illness. The work is part of the Intensive Community Mental Health Recovery program.
What you will do
You will meet with veterans and their families. You will plan and coordinate care. You will travel to hospitals, clinics and community centers. You will write reports and help other staff. You will use therapy techniques like CBT, Motivational Interviewing and Social Skills Training. You will support veterans in getting medical and community help.
What you need
You must be a U.S. citizen. You need a valid driver’s license. You must speak and write English well. You need to pass a background check, a physical exam and the flu vaccine. You should have a Bachelor Degree in social work or a related field and several years of experience.
