What the job is
This job is for a primary care doctor in the Veterans Health Administration in Bemidji, Minnesota. You can help veterans with their health. The job may help pay back student loans through the Education Debt Reduction Program.
What you will do
You will see patients in an outpatient clinic. You will manage a group of patients. You may help with special projects for certain groups of veterans. You may also help with inpatient care, like discharge planning and rounds. You will work with other doctors and staff. You must keep records and paperwork up to date. You will work at least 80 hours every two weeks. You can work four 10‑hour days if that works for you.
What you need
You must be a licensed doctor in the United States. You need to be a U.S. citizen or meet VA rules. You must pass a background check and a drug test. You must speak English well. You must have a valid medical license. You must be willing to get a flu shot. You need to finish the required training.
What you will get
You will get a salary between $250,000 and $315,000. You may get a bonus for good performance. You will have 50–55 days of paid time off each year.
