What the job is
This is a Medical Support Assistant job at Veterans Health Administration in Danville, Illinois.

What you will do
You will answer phones and send calls to the right staff. You will schedule appointments. You will check orders from doctors and follow VA rules. You will use CPRS to write notes. You will let the AMSA know about new, changed, or missed appointments. You will write hospital and community care notes. You will check basic eligibility for CITC programs. You will talk to people inside and outside the hospital. You will get medical records. You will work with CITC teams, PACT and specialty clinics.

What you need
You must be a U.S. citizen. Males born after 12/31/1959 must register with Selective Service. You must speak and write English well. You will need a background check. You will need a valid ID that is REAL-ID compliant. You must get the flu vaccine. You will have to finish an online onboarding. You must be willing to work a 1 or 2-year trial period.

What you will get
Full-time hours Monday to Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The job is not remote. Salary is between $36,466 and $55,336. You will work at the VA Illiana Health Care System. The position is permanent.
