What the job is
The Salem VA Medical Center in Salem, Virginia, is looking for a Kidney Doctor to join our team. In this role, you will help take care of Veterans who have kidney health issues. You will see patients who are staying in the hospital and those who come in for clinic appointments.
What you will do
You will check and treat patients with known or suspected kidney disease. Your duties include performing dialysis and being on-call for emergencies during some nights, weekends, and holidays. You will also teach medical students and new doctors. You will work with a team of nurses and other health professionals to provide the best care. The regular schedule is Monday to Friday from 7:45 am to 4:30 pm.
What you need
You must be a doctor who is Board Certified or Board Eligible in kidney care. You must have a current medical license from any US state or territory. You must be a US citizen and speak and write English clearly. You must pass a drug test and a background check before starting. You are also required to get a flu shot every year.
What you will get
You will earn a salary between 250000 and 335000 per year. You will get 50 to 55 days of paid time off each year for vacation, sick leave, and holidays.
