What the job is
We are looking for a heart doctor (cardiologist) who does not perform surgery to work in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. This job helps veterans with heart problems. You will see patients in clinics and use tests to diagnose heart conditions. The job offers help with student loans and a sign-on bonus.

What you will do
- See patients in the clinic for heart problems like chest pain, heart failure, and heart disease.
- Read and explain test results like echocardiograms, EKGs, and stress tests.
- Follow medical guidelines to treat heart diseases.
- Work with other medical staff to plan patient care.
- Help train new heart doctors in the fellowship program.
- Attend meetings and join committees as needed.
- Review patient charts to ensure good care.
- See patients in person and through video calls.
- Do other tasks assigned by the medical service chief.

What you need
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must have a full and unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory.
- Must be able to speak and write English well.
- Must pass a drug test and background check.
- Must register with the Selective Service if you are a male born after December 31, 1959.
- Must pass a physical exam before starting.
- Must get a flu shot every year.
