What the job is
The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Muskogee, Oklahoma, is hiring experienced lawyers to work as Assistant United States Attorneys. This is a full-time position in the Criminal Division. You will help prosecute federal crimes in eastern Oklahoma.

What you will do
You will handle criminal cases, including organized crime, terrorism, drug trafficking, child exploitation, fraud, and public corruption. You will also work on violent crimes in Indian Country, such as homicide, assault, and drug offenses. Your duties include legal research, directing investigations, building cases, and presenting them in court. You will work with federal, state, local, and tribal law enforcement. Over time, your responsibilities will grow as you gain experience.
What you need
You must be an experienced attorney. Prior experience in federal criminal prosecution is preferred. You should have strong communication and organizational skills. You must live in or near Muskogee, Oklahoma. Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must be registered with the Selective Service System.
