What the job is The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Muskogee, Oklahoma, is hiring experienced lawyers to work as Assistant United States Attorneys. These lawyers will handle federal criminal cases in the Eastern District of Oklahoma. The office is in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

What you will do You will investigate and prosecute federal crimes, including organized crime, terrorism, drug trafficking, child exploitation, human trafficking, fraud, and public corruption. You will also work on cases involving violent crimes in Indian Country, such as homicide, assault, and firearms offenses. Your duties include legal research, directing investigations, building cases, and presenting them in court. You will work with federal, state, local, and tribal law enforcement. Over time, your responsibilities will grow as you gain experience.

What you need You must be an experienced attorney, preferably with federal criminal prosecution experience. Strong communication, research, and organizational skills are required. You must live in or within 25 miles of the Eastern District of Oklahoma. If you are a male born after December 31, 1959, you must be registered with the Selective Service System.
