What you will do
You will fix parts of military aircraft. You will clean, replace, or reinstall parts that are worn or broken. You will adjust cables, seat travel, and other connections. You will check for worn or dirty parts by looking at them. You will use hand tools like wrenches and screwdrivers. You will help a senior mechanic with big repairs like engines or transmissions. You will help with checks before and after flights, and with maintenance like oil and fuel. You may also help with firefighting, crash rescue, or snow removal.
What you need
You should have a willingness to work on aircraft. You should be able to use hand tools and follow safety rules. No special degree is required.
