What the job is
This job is for a Surface Maintenance Mechanic at Camp Murray, Washington. It is a temporary position in the Army National Guard.
What you will do
You will do simple repairs on heavy trucks, cars, and other vehicles. You will fix engines, transmissions, brakes, and other parts. You will read manuals and use tools to check and fix problems. You may help more experienced mechanics with big repairs. You will also do small fixes on radios and other gear. You will keep parts organized and help keep equipment ready.
What you need
You must have a driver’s license for Washington and a military driver’s license. You must be able to pass a security check. You should be able to work with tools and read instructions. You may need to finish a trial period. You must be willing to work extra hours if needed.
What you will get
You will earn between $33.36 and $41.99 per hour. You will get a temporary Army job with benefits. You will work in a team and learn more about vehicle maintenance.
