What the job is
This job is a Health Technician in the Emergency Department at the Veterans Health Administration in Winter Park, Florida. You will help doctors and nurses with patient care.

What you will do
- Take patients' vital signs and record them.
- Set up and use machines to measure blood pressure, oxygen, and other tests.
- Read 12-lead EKGs and tell the nurse or doctor if something is wrong.
- Draw blood for tests.
- Move and help patients get into beds or chairs safely.
- Help patients and families when they arrive.
- Keep the department stocked with supplies.
- Teach patients about resources at the medical center.
- Do other duties as asked.

What you need
- Be a U.S. citizen.
- Pass a background check and drug test.
- Be able to do basic patient care tasks.
- Have good communication skills.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.

What you will get
- A full-time schedule Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Salary between $45,409 and $59,031.
- Health benefits and a 1-year probation period.
