What the job is
This job is for a Surface Maintenance Mechanic Inspector in Gatesville, Texas. You will work for the Texas Army National Guard. It is a full-time job that needs you to be an active Guard member.

What you will do
You will check many kinds of heavy mobile equipment. This includes tanks, cranes, bulldozers, trucks and other large machines. You will use tools and test machines to see if the parts are working. You will decide if parts need to be fixed or replaced. You will write reports and help with repair work. You will work with other inspectors on special teams.

What you need
You must be a member of the Texas Army National Guard. You must have a valid driver’s license. You must be able to work with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic and electrical systems. You need good reading and writing skills. You must be able to use test equipment and follow safety rules.

What you will get
You will work a compressed schedule from Tuesday to Friday 6:30 to 5:00. You will receive a salary between $32,030 and $37,360 per year. You will work on site in Gatesville. The job is not remote. You will be paid in a U.S. federal position and must follow Guard rules. You will get a federal salary and benefits.
