What the job is:
This job is for a Surface Maintenance Mechanic Inspector in Gatesville, Texas. You must be a member of the Texas Army National Guard. You will check heavy equipment to make sure it works safely.

What you will do:
You will inspect trucks, tanks, cranes and other big machines. You will test brakes, engines, hydraulics and electronics. You will use tools like gauges and computer test sets. You will decide if parts need to be fixed or if the machine should be replaced. You will write reports and help repair teams.

What you need:
You must be a Texas Army National Guard member and wear a uniform. You need to know how to use test equipment. You should be able to read instructions and follow safety rules. You must have a valid driver’s license if you drive.

What you will get:
You will work Tuesday to Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You will earn between $32,030 and $37,360 a year. You will have a compressed work schedule. You will have benefits as a Guard member. The job is on-site in Gatesville.
