What the job is
This is a job for a Child and Youth Program Assistant in Virginia Beach, Virginia. You will work with children and teenagers at the Naval Air Station Oceana. Your main goal is to keep kids safe, happy, and learning while their parents are at work.

What you will do
You will look after children and keep them busy with fun activities.
You will help children learn how to make friends and play well with others.
You will help kids learn how to get ready for school.
You will plan daily schedules and lead games or events.
You will check the play areas to make sure they are safe and clean.
You will give children healthy snacks and meals.
You will tell parents how their children are doing every day.
You will watch for any signs of illness or safety problems.

What you need
You must be able to work well with children of different ages.
You need to follow all safety rules and laws.
You must be a professional person when talking to staff and families.
You must report any concerns about a child's safety or health.
You should be good at planning and leading group activities.

What you will get
You will earn between 19.08 and 22.09 per hour.
You might get a 1000.00 bonus after 6 months and again after 1 year.
This job offers flexible hours up to 40 hours per week.
