What the job is
This job is a surgical nurse position in the Department of Surgery at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. You will work with patients of all ages in pre‑and post‑operative care and in outpatient settings.

What you will do
- Provide nursing care to surgical patients.
- Prepare and give medicines by mouth, by skin, under the skin, and by muscle.
- Help doctors during surgery and other procedures.
- Set up supplies, drapes, and monitors.
- Check emergency equipment and keep instruments clean.

What you need
- A nursing diploma or degree.
- Experience in a hospital or surgical setting.
- Ability to work with patients who are ill or under anesthesia.
