What the job is
You will work as a Mental Health Counselor for the Veterans Health Administration in White City, Oregon. Your job is to help Veterans who are staying at the treatment center. You will help them get better and plan for their future.
What you will do
You will manage a group of patients and create therapy plans for them. You will lead group therapy for five hours every week. You will meet with Veterans one-on-one to check their progress. You will help patients move back into their community after they leave. You will also help with emergencies and talk to family members.
What you need
You must be a U.S. Citizen. You must have a professional license to work as a mental health counselor. You need to be good at speaking and writing in English. You must be vaccinated for the flu and pass a background check. You should be able to use a computer and work well with people from different backgrounds. You will also serve a trial period of one or two years.
What you will get
You can earn between 61722 and 97087 dollars per year. You may be eligible for a program that pays back your student loans up to 200000 dollars. You will work Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
