What the job is
This job is a Housekeeping Aid at the Veterans Health Administration in Menlo Park, California. You will help keep the VA hospital clean and safe.

What you will do
You will sweep, mop, vacuum and clean rooms and corridors. You will empty trash, replace light bulbs, clean windows and walls, and keep bathrooms tidy. You will work mostly on your own and follow the supervisor’s instructions.

What you need
You must be a U.S. citizen. You need to be able to lift and move items. You must be willing to work weekdays, weekends or holidays. You must get a background check, a physical exam and the flu shot.

What you will get
You will earn a pay rate of $21.67 to $25.24 per hour. You will have a 1‑year probation period. You will work for a federal agency that helps veterans. You will get benefits and training.
