What the job is
This job is a construction laborer at the Veterans Health Administration in Salisbury, North Carolina.

What you will do
You will help tear down walls, floors, and ceilings. You will load and unload trucks. You will move new building materials. You will use hand tools and power tools like dollies, pallet jacks, and forklifts. You will set up temporary work areas that keep dust and debris from spreading. You will work with other workers such as carpenters, painters, and electricians. You will check tools each day to keep them safe. You will clear debris from the building and the ground.

What you need
You must be a U.S. citizen. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on your own and up to 80 lbs with help. You must be able to climb ladders and walk a lot. You must pass a background check. Males born after 12/31/1959 must register with Selective Services. You must have a valid ID.

What you will get
You will work full‑time Monday through Thursday from 12:00 pm to 10:30 pm. Your pay will be between $19.89 and $23.21 per hour. You will have a one‑year probation period. After that, your job will be reviewed for continued employment.
