This job is a Motor Vehicle Operator at the Manchester VA Medical Center in Manchester, New Hampshire. You will drive vehicles for patients and supplies.
What you will do
- Receive work instructions from the Transportation Coordinator or Mobility Manager.
- Pick up and drop off patients and medical supplies at scheduled times.
- Read maps and choose safe routes.
- Make sure passengers wear seatbelts.
- Use a mobile data computer and two‑way radio to report to the dispatcher.
- Check vehicle fluids, tire pressure, and clean the vehicle.
- Keep records of inspections and any incidents.
- Do other related tasks as needed.
What you need
- U.S. citizenship.
- A valid driver’s license (no CDL needed).
- Pass a background check and a drug test.
- Pass a physical exam.
- Complete an online onboarding process.
- Be willing to work a one‑hour per week shift on a rotating schedule between 6 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.
