This job is a cook in the Navy's Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department in El Centro, California. You will make food for people in the Navy region.

What you will do
You will cook simple foods like pancakes, eggs, burgers, and vegetables. You will make soups, sauces, and sandwiches. You will bake pizza if needed. You will cut, peel, slice, and prepare ingredients. You will follow recipes and measure portions. You will set up a salad bar and restock it. You will store leftovers safely. You will keep cooking areas clean. You will track food inventory and replace old items. You will do other kitchen tasks as needed.

What you need
You should know how to cook basic foods. You need to be able to follow recipes. You should be careful with food safety and clean up. No special degree is required.

What you will get
You will work on a flexible schedule up to 40 hours a week. You will receive a pay rate between $19.74 and $21.39 per hour. You will work on site in El Centro, California. You will be part of the Navy's MWR team.
