What the job is
The Veterans Health Administration in Northport, New York is hiring a full time Licensed Practical Nurse to work in the Community Living Center.

What you will do
You will follow the rules and standards set by the VA. You will work under a registered nurse who gives you daily tasks. You will write notes in the patient record. You will talk with Veterans, families, and other health team members. You will give medicines as ordered. You will act as a patient advocate.

What you need
You must be a U.S. citizen. You must have a LPN license and be able to speak and read English. You must pass a drug test, a background check, a physical exam, and the flu vaccine. You must have a REAL ID driver’s license or state ID. You must be ready for a 1 or 2 year trial period.

What you will get
You will work full time from 7:30 pm to 8:00 am. You will earn between $51,437 and $87,921. The job is on site. You will receive VA benefits and training.
