What the job is
This job is for a Surface Maintenance Mechanic in the Army National Guard. It is a full‑time job in Lincoln, Nebraska.

What you will do
You will fix and maintain heavy vehicles and equipment. You will look at engines, transmissions, hydraulics, brakes and electrical systems. You will use tools and test equipment to find problems. You will take apart and rebuild engines, replace parts, and put everything back together. You will work alone or with a team. You will help other mechanics and give instructions.

What you need
You should have experience with mechanical repairs. You need to know how to read manuals and use tools. You should be able to work in a field setting and travel to different locations. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
