What the job is
The National Park Service is hiring a Park Ranger to work in Anchorage, Alaska. This is a seasonal role. It starts in the spring of 2027. You will help visitors learn about the park. You will make sure they have a safe visit.

What you will do
You will give talks and lead walks for groups. You will answer questions at visitor centers. You will help people find their way. You will help train new staff. You will give them feedback on their work. You will keep the park safe. You will help in emergencies. You will talk to guests about park rules. This job involves a lot of walking outside. You might carry heavy gear.

What you need
You must be a U.S. citizen. You must be at least 18 years old. You need a valid driver license. You must be able to work outside. You will work in different weather and on uneven ground. You should be good at speaking to the public. You should be good at leading a team. You will need to pass a background check.

What you will get
You will be paid between 33.44 and 43.47 per hour. You will get money for your uniform. You might be able to live in government housing. You will work in a beautiful place.
