What the job is
This job is a Firefighter and Basic Life Support EMT at the Veterans Health Administration in Perry Point, Maryland. You work in a 48‑hour shift and a 72‑hour work week.

What you will do
You will fight fires and respond to emergencies. You will drive fire trucks, use hoses, and work with a team. You will also give first aid and basic medical care to people who are injured or sick. You will check and maintain fire equipment. You will inspect buildings for fire safety and do fire drills. You will help with hazardous material incidents.

What you need
You must be a U.S. citizen. You need to be able to work long shifts. You must have a firefighter or EMT certification. You should be able to lift heavy equipment and work in a team.
