What the job is
This is a job as a vehicle mechanic for the Army National Guard in Joliet, Illinois. You will maintain and fix many types of trucks and military vehicles.
What you will do
You will find out why vehicles are not working and fix them. You will work on engines, brakes, and electrical systems. You will use computers and special tools to test the equipment. You will take apart large machine parts and put them back together. You will also do repairs at other locations when needed.
What you need
You must be a member of the Illinois National Guard to apply. You will need to wear a military uniform for this job. You must pass a background check and have a clean record. If you are male, you must be registered for the Selective Service. You cannot have any convictions for domestic violence.
What you will get
You will earn between 25.13 and 39.35 per hour. You will work with a dedicated team and gain experience on heavy-duty military equipment.
