What the job is
The Veterans Health Administration in Bay Pines, Florida, is looking for an experienced Oral Surgeon. You will perform surgeries on the mouth, jaw, and face. You will also do some general dental work. This job is full-time and based in Bay Pines, Florida.

What you will do
- Check patients' mouths, teeth, and jaws using exams and X-rays.
- Find and treat problems like infections, injuries, or diseases in the mouth.
- Give local anesthesia to numb the area before surgery.
- Do surgeries like removing teeth, placing implants, and fixing jaw problems.
- Treat injuries to the face and jaw, like broken bones.
- Remove cysts or tumors in the mouth.
- Help train dental residents and staff.
- Follow safety and infection control rules.
- Manage clinic tasks and follow VA rules.

What you need
- You must be a U.S. citizen.
- You should be certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
- You must speak and write English well.
- You need to pass a background check and drug test.
- You must register with the Selective Service if you are a male born after December 31, 1959.
- You must pass a physical exam before starting.
- You must get a flu shot every year.
