What the job is
The Transportation Assistant works at the Syracuse VA Medical Center in Syracuse, New York. The job is not a virtual position. You must live or move close to the office.

What you will do
You will be the main contact for veterans who need transportation. You will help plan schedules, keep records, and make sure the transportation program runs smoothly. You will use computer systems like VISTA and SharePoint. You will help reduce wait times for patients.

What you need
You must be a U.S. citizen. You need to be able to pass a background check. You must have a REAL‑ID driver’s license or state ID. You must be able to do the job in a busy office and sometimes travel around the medical center.

What you will get
You will work full time from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The pay is between $45,409 and $59,031. You will have a 1‑year probation period. You must get the flu shot and may need to do an online assessment. You will have a supportive team and opportunities to help veterans.
