What the job is
This job is an Attorney Advisor in the Money Laundering, Narcotics and Forfeiture Section. It is in Washington, District of Columbia. The section fights crime that hides money and drugs. It works with banks, law enforcement and other agencies to seize and recover assets.

What you will do
You will look at complex legal questions about remission law and asset forfeiture. You will write reports and give recommendations to leaders. You will get information from databases and keep it confidential. You will write status reports. You will work with U.S. Attorneys, federal agencies and private lawyers. You will train partners on how forfeiture and victim compensation work. You will handle many remission cases and write memoranda on whether petitioners qualify.

What you need
You need a law degree and a good understanding of federal law. You should have experience in legal research and writing. You should be able to manage a heavy workload and keep information secure.
