This job is in Washington, District of Columbia. You will work at the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center. The staff welcomes visitors from all over the world.
What you will do
Guide tours of the Capitol for groups of all sizes. Talk about the history of the Capitol and Congress. Help visitors with directions, ticketing, and special needs. Answer questions about security and the Visitor Center. Work with a team of 200 employees. Walk a lot, including stairs and outdoor areas. Use computers and other equipment.
What you need
A good knowledge of Capitol history. Good people skills. Ability to stand and walk for long periods. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds. Ability to work Saturdays, holidays, and sometimes evenings. Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible.
