What the job is
The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist works at the Veterans Health Administration in Reno, Nevada. They help patients in a 120‑bed hospital. They work in many units like ICU, OR, medicine, surgery, rehab, hospice, mental health and emergency.

What you will do
You will manage medicines for patients. You will start, change or stop medicines. You will check medicine orders and give advice to doctors and nurses. You will teach staff and patients about medicines. You will help pharmacy technicians with orders. You will be on duty Monday to Friday from 11:30 to 20:00. Sometimes you may need to work weekends or holidays.

What you need
You must be a U.S. citizen. You must speak and write English well. You need a pharmacy degree and a license to practice. You must pass a background check, a physical exam, and drug tests. You must be willing to get flu and COVID vaccines.
