What the job is
This is a maintenance job with the Iowa Army National Guard in Waterloo, Iowa. You will work on vehicles and heavy equipment for the military. Only current Iowa Army National Guard members can apply.

What you will do
Fix and maintain military vehicles, trucks, and heavy equipment. Do basic repairs like replacing parts, adjusting brakes, and fixing engines. Work with tools and follow manuals to keep equipment running. Help with inspections and regular maintenance like oil changes and cleaning. Sometimes work in the field to repair broken-down vehicles. Assist with small repairs on communication devices, metal parts, and other equipment. Keep track of tools and parts.

What you need
You must be a current member of the Iowa Army National Guard. You will wear a military uniform. You need to pass a security clearance check. You must complete a trial period of 1 or 2 years to keep the job.

What you will get
A salary between $28.98 and $33.80 per hour. Full-time work with the National Guard. Training and experience in vehicle and equipment repair.
