What the job is
We are hiring a full-time neurosurgeon in Kansas City, Missouri. You will work for the Veterans Health Administration, helping veterans with brain, spine, and nerve conditions. This job offers a student loan repayment program of up to $200,000 for eligible candidates.

What you will do
- Examine and treat patients with brain, spine, nerve, and spinal cord problems, including injuries, tumors, and other disorders.
- Perform surgeries and provide care before and after operations.
- Order and review tests like CT scans, MRIs, and blood tests.
- Work with patients, families, and other doctors to create treatment plans.
- Handle emergencies like brain injuries or bleeding in the brain.
- Keep accurate records of patient care.
- Be on call for emergencies on weekends and holidays.
- Work Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

What you need
- Must be a U.S. citizen (exceptions are rare).
- Must have a full and unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state.
- Must be proficient in English.
- Must pass a drug test, background check, and physical exam.
- Must follow VA policies and safety rules.
