This is a job for a Transportation Security Officer in Gunnison, Colorado. You will work at the Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport, helping to keep travelers and transportation systems safe.

What you will do
- Check passengers and their bags using screening equipment to find dangerous items.
- Perform searches, including pat-downs and bag checks, and lift items up to 50 pounds.
- Control entry and exit points at the airport.
- Assist the public by giving directions and answering questions.
- Stay focused in a busy, noisy environment to identify threats.
- Follow security rules and adapt to changes or unexpected situations.

What you need
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must pass an interview, drug test, medical check, and background check.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English well.
- Must be physically fit to lift bags, stand for long periods, and walk up to 3 miles per shift.
- Must work different shifts and overtime as needed.
- Must wear protective gear like masks and gloves when required.

What you will get
- Salary between $46,105 and $56,844 per year, or $22.09 to $27.24 per hour, plus a 17.06% locality pay.
- A sign-on bonus of up to $15,000, paid in two parts during your first year.
