What the job is
This is a job at a School Age Center or Youth Center on Elmendorf AFB, Alaska. You will work with children and youth, helping to keep them safe and engaged in fun activities. The job is open to people aged 18 and older. You can work flexible hours (up to 40 hours a week) or regular hours (20 to 40 hours a week). There may be a bonus of up to $2,000 for joining, and employees get a discount on child care.

What you will do
- Supervise and care for children and youth in the program.
- Help plan and lead activities for kids, both indoors and outdoors, including field trips.
- Serve snacks or meals and ensure the children are safe at all times.
- Follow rules and policies for the program.
- May need to drive children in government vehicles.
- Help with inventories of equipment and supplies.
- Create a welcoming and positive environment for children and youth.
- Assist with daily schedules and activity plans suited to the age group.
- Support children with special needs if required.

What you need
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- No specific education or experience required for entry-level roles.
- For higher levels, you may need experience working with children or youth.
