What the job is
This job is for a Child and Youth Program Assistant at a School Age Center or Youth Center on Elmendorf AFB, Alaska. You will work with children and youth, helping to keep them safe and engaged in fun activities. This is a non-appropriated fund (NAF) position open to anyone 18 or older. You can work flexible hours (up to 40 hours per week) or regular hours (20 to 40 hours per week). There may be a recruitment bonus of up to $2,000, and employees get a discount on child care.

What you will do
- Supervise and care for children and youth during activities, field trips, and events.
- Help plan and run age-appropriate activities for kids aged 6 weeks to 18 years.
- Serve snacks or meals and ensure a welcoming and positive environment.
- Follow policies and rules, and assist with inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Drive children in government vehicles if needed.

What you need
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to follow instructions and work with children of different ages.
- No specific degree is required, but experience with children is helpful.

- Hourly pay between $20 and $24.60.
