What the job is
This is a job at a School Age Center or Youth Center on Elmendorf AFB in Alaska. You will work with children and youth, helping with activities and keeping them safe. You can work flexible hours (up to 40 hours a week) or regular hours (20-40 hours a week). There is a possible hiring bonus of up to $2,000. Employees may also get a discount on child care.

What you will do
You will supervise and care for children and youth during indoor and outdoor activities, field trips, and events. You will help plan age-appropriate activities, serve snacks or meals, and follow safety rules. At higher levels, you may lead activities, coordinate schedules, and brief staff and parents. Entry-level workers will assist with simple tasks and follow instructions.

What you need
You must be at least 18 years old. No specific degree is required, but experience working with children is helpful. You will follow program policies and may need to transport children in government vehicles.

What you will get
You will earn between $20 and $24.60 per hour. You may receive a hiring bonus and child care discounts.
