What the job is
This job is at a School Age Center or Youth Center on Elmendorf AFB, Alaska. It is open to people aged 18 and older. You can work flexible hours (up to 40 per week) or regular hours (20 to 40 per week). There may be a sign-up bonus of up to $2,000, and employees get a discount for child care.

What you will do
You will help take care of children and teens, making sure they are safe and supervised. You will plan and lead fun activities for kids aged 6 weeks to 18 years, both indoors and outdoors. You may help serve snacks or meals, follow rules and policies, and sometimes drive children in government vehicles. Depending on your level, you may also help plan daily schedules, brief staff and parents, and check supplies.

What you need
You must be at least 18 years old. No special degree is required, but you should be able to follow instructions and work with children. Experience with kids is a plus.

What you will get
You will earn between $20 and $24.60 per hour. You may also get a sign-up bonus and child care discounts.
