What the job is
This is a part-time job for a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room at the Veterans Health Administration in Omaha, Nebraska. The job is open until filled, and applications are reviewed regularly.

What you will do
You will provide care to patients in the operating room. This includes protecting patients from injuries, counting surgical tools to prevent mistakes, and checking patient details before surgery. You will also give medications safely, manage patient samples, and keep accurate records. You will follow procedures for medical equipment and help prevent infections.

What you need
You must be a U.S. citizen or meet VA policy exceptions. You need a full and unrestricted nursing license from any U.S. state. You must pass a drug test, background check, and physical exam. Preferred experience is 1 year as an Operating Room Nurse. Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.

You will receive a comprehensive benefits package. The salary ranges from $65,500 to $140,292 per year. Work hours are flexible but require at least 8 hours per week, between 6:00 AM and 7:30 PM. No weekends, holidays, or on-call work is required.
