What the job is
We are looking for a Recreation Assistant in Everett, Washington. The job is part of the Navy’s Morale, Welfare and Recreation program. You will help service members, their families, retirees and civilian staff use the recreation facilities.

What you will do
You will greet people and give them information about the activities. Check if they are allowed to use the facilities. Take inventory of equipment and check it in and out. Report any damage. Order and restock supplies. Prepare snack bar items and sell them. Use the Point of Sales system to collect fees for tickets, classes and rentals. Count the money at the end of the shift. Help plan and run recreation programs like camps, cycling, sailing, hiking, canoeing, skiing and other local outdoor activities. Set up and break down event equipment. Do some computer work to track inventory and usage. Promote the recreation programs and the library. Follow health and safety rules. Call maintenance for repairs. Do other tasks as needed.

What you need
Good communication skills. Ability to work with people. Basic math and computer skills. No special degree or experience required.
