What the job is
This job is in Port Richey, Florida. We are looking for a psychiatry physician to work at the James A. Haley VA Medical Center.
What you will do
You will perform psychiatric evaluations for many patients, including older adults and veterans who have been in combat. You will give therapy, prescribe and manage medications, assess suicide risk, and intervene in crises. You will lead the mental health team, coordinate referrals, and work with other doctors and nurses.
What you need
You must have a full, unrestricted state license and be board certified in psychiatry. You need good communication skills, English fluency, and a U.S. citizenship or ability to be hired under VA rules. You must pass a background check, a drug test, and a physical exam.
