What the job is
This is a full-time role for a mechanic at the Army National Guard in North Riverside, Illinois. You will maintain and fix many kinds of military and commercial vehicles and equipment.

What you will do
You will find problems and repair heavy trucks and military vehicles. You will work on engines, transmissions, and brake systems. You will use computers and special tools to find why something is not working. You will take apart and put back together large vehicle parts. You will also fix electrical systems and suspension systems. Sometimes you will need to work in other locations to fix equipment.

What you need
You must be a member of the Illinois National Guard. You must be in the correct military grade to apply. You will have to wear a military uniform at work. You must pass a background check and be registered for the Selective Service if required. You cannot have any domestic violence convictions. You must be able to work some extra hours or different times if the job requires it.

What you will get
You will earn between 25.13 and 39.35 per hour. You will work with specialized tools and military equipment. You will have a steady job in a military environment.
