What the job is
This is a challenging job for motivated lawyers. You will work for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Oakland or San Francisco, California. You will help enforce federal criminal laws to protect people and property.

What you will do
You will prosecute federal crimes, such as drug trafficking, child exploitation, gang violence, illegal immigration, cybercrime, fraud, and corruption. You will work with law enforcement to investigate crimes, research legal issues, write legal documents, and represent the U.S. in court. Your work will include appearing in hearings, trials, and appeals. As you gain experience, your cases will become more complex.

What you need
You must be a qualified attorney with strong legal skills. Experience in criminal law is helpful. You should be able to work in a team and handle complex cases.

What you will get
You will earn between $103,085 and $197,100 per year. You will get the chance to work on important cases that make a difference.
