What the job is
This job is for a Transportation Security Officer in Lincoln, Nebraska. You will work for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to keep travelers and transportation systems safe and secure.

What you will do
You will check passengers, baggage, and cargo at the airport to stop dangerous items from getting on planes. You will use screening machines, do pat-downs, search bags, and lift items up to 50 pounds. You will control who enters and exits the airport, help the public with questions, and stay focused in a busy, noisy environment. You may also work at special events or protect important people. You will follow safety rules, wear protective gear like masks and gloves, and handle stressful situations calmly.

What you need
You must be a U.S. citizen or national and at least 18 years old. You must pass a drug test, medical check, background check, and interview. You need to speak, read, and write English well. You must be able to lift 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and walk up to 3 miles in a shift. You must work different shifts, including overtime, and sometimes travel for training. Currently, the TSA is only hiring female candidates for this position, but male applicants can apply for future openings.

What you will get
You will earn between $40,736 and $56,844 per year (or $19.52 to $27.24 per hour) with extra pay for living costs. You will get training and a chance to work in a team that keeps air travel safe.
