What the job is
This job is for a Transportation Security Officer in Lincoln, Nebraska. You will work for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to keep travelers and airports safe.

What you will do
Check passengers, baggage, and cargo for dangerous items using screening equipment.
Perform pat-downs and search property when needed.
Lift and carry bags and items up to 50 pounds.
Control who enters and exits the airport.
Talk to the public, answer questions, and give directions.
Stay alert in a busy, noisy, and sometimes stressful environment.
Follow security rules and adapt to new situations.
Wear protective gear like masks and gloves when required.

What you need
You must be a U.S. citizen or national.
You must be at least 18 years old.
Register for Selective Service if required.
Pass an interview, drug test, medical check, and background check.
Be able to work different shifts and overtime.
Speak, read, and write English well.
Be physically able to lift 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and walk up to 3 miles per shift.

What you will get
A salary between $40,736 and $56,844 per year (or $19.52 to $27.24 per hour).
