What the job is
You will work as a Transportation Security Officer in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Your job is to keep travelers, airports, and aircraft safe and secure in a professional way.

What you will do
- Use screening equipment to check bags, cargo, and passengers for dangerous items.
- Perform searches, including pat-downs and bag checks, and lift items up to 50 pounds.
- Control entry and exit points at the airport.
- Help the public by giving directions and answering questions.
- Stay focused in a busy and sometimes stressful environment to spot threats.
- Use good judgment to make decisions in both routine and emergency situations.
- Follow safety rules and wear protective gear like masks and gloves when needed.

What you need
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must register for Selective Service if required.
- Must pass an interview, drug test, medical check, and background check.
- Must be able to work different shifts, including overtime.
- Must speak, read, and write English well.
- Must be physically able to lift, bend, walk up to 3 miles, and stand for long periods.

What you will get
- Salary between $46,105 and $56,844 per year (or $22.09 to $27.24 per hour).
- Training and occasional travel may be required.
