What the job is
This job is for a Transportation Security Officer in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. You will work for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to keep travelers and airports safe.

What you will do
- Check passengers, baggage, and cargo for dangerous items using screening equipment.
- Perform searches, including pat-downs and bag checks, and lift items up to 50 pounds.
- Control entry and exit points at the airport.
- Assist the public by giving directions and answering questions.
- Stay focused in a busy, noisy environment to spot security threats.
- Follow safety procedures and wear protective gear like masks and gloves when needed.
- Work different shifts, including overtime, and travel for training if required.

What you need
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national and at least 18 years old.
- Must pass a drug test, medical check, background check, and interview.
- Must speak, read, and write English well.
- Must be physically fit to lift, bend, walk up to 3 miles, and stand for long periods.
- Must handle stress and work with the public in a professional way.
